The lil' Buick that could...

On my way back from Tahoe last night, I took a solo mission with my Buick across Echo Summit Pass in a blizzard and I was flippin' nervous!! I shouldn't have worried though. With chains on, going 25, headlights all cross-eyed, we made it over the hill. I even put my own chains on and then had to take them off all alone in Kyburz (mountain town pop. 200) in the sleeting rain and dark. Part of me is all, "Way to go! You can truly solve your own problems." And then another part of me was like, "Damn, it would be nice to have someone here right now to lean on." I guess that is the catch 22 of trying to be an independent woman; sometimes you end up all alone.

But on a brighter note, I took a maiden voyage on one of the scooters today at work- I didn't even know how much fun I was missing out on!! I am definitely going to scoot to any and all meetings from here on out. Laziness here I come. :)
