This past Saturday one of the old gang from my college house tied the knot in Ohio. She was a gorgeous Bride and her in-laws seem like a rowdy fu

n bunch. Half of us were able to make it and had a blast. I borrowed BBQ's hot lil '88 Cabriolet convertible all weekend and cruised around NE Ohio. Vardoooo came with me and was a fun date even though he was highly distracted with other places he'd have rather been.
Kater and Vinny D were in town and we got to hang at the party pad on the Lake with quite the crew. I am amazed each time I come home that the party really never stops there at that house. I'd be a mess if I was too near the flame of that peer pressure inferno. The sunset on Lake Erie was gorgeous and the
Midges were in full effect- gross!

On the plane ride back I finished
Winesburg Ohio by Sherwood Anderson and the final line reads "
his life there had become but a background on which to paint the dreams of his manhood." And it rings soooo true... your upbringing/ hometown serves as the canvas for the rest or your days. Dang. What a book to read on the way back from and up 'n down trip to the homeland. Wild.
As I wrote this, I fell outta my desk chair... I am going to assume that was a nudge from the Lords of Procrastination telling me to get back to work, Ugh.
